If the news doing rounds in certain media publications is to be believed then Uberpool and Olashare may have to stop their services in Delhi.

It is illegal to pick and drop customers in Delhi and hence we are in the process to draft a new transportation policy to monitor the app based cab services, a report published in Times of India cited a government source.

Government sources however accepted that theses services are very essential in decreasing the congestion on the road and also help in bringing down the pollution level. The report also said that since law does not allows any private taxi operator to pick and drop customers within the Delhi Capital region the government will make it necessary for these companies to strictly follow the rules.
