You can still deposit notes of 500 & 1000 after giving valid reason, Says Supreme Court

Supreme court in today's order gave a relief to those who are still stuck with old 500 and 1000 denomination notes after they can provide valid and genuine reasons for the same. SC has given two weeks time to the centre to reply on its directive.
This will be real relief for those who could not for some genuine reasons, deposit old currency notes before the given legitimate time for the same.
A bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice DY Chandrachud asked Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar, representing the Centre, to take instructions on the issue, reported India today.  "You can't take away my money if I was terminally ill," the Supreme Court bench said which was upset at centre for it's December 30 deadline for depositing such notes.
Previously centre has declined to give any kind of grace period citing reasons such as raids in which multiple crore illegal currencies were found from different corners of the country. Now SC has again thrown the ball in the centre's court to reply and make their point for not doing so.
