Why Indian media missed Paul S. Ottelini demise, the great business leader and former CEO of Intel Corp


We all have heard about Intel and all of those who use laptops and PCs must have used Intel products by default but when we have missed the sad news about the demise of it's former President and CEO Paul S. Otellin.

Though he may not be important to layman but he is one of the persons who must be remembered for bringing the technology into the hands of common people specially from the poorer nations by making compact and portable devices which lowered the cost of laptops and PCs in 90s. 


As per the official Intel Newsroom report, Paul S. Otellin passed away in his sleep on Monday, 2nd October, 2017 at the age of 66.

He was appointed as the fifth Chief Executive Officer of Intel in the year 2015.

He was born in San Franscisco in the year 1950 on 12th October and joined Intel in the year 1974.

he played a great role in expanding the Intel's business key among which were transforming operations and cost structure for long-term growth, taking Intel to a leadership position in the server market segment, and maintaining profitability during the global recession.

He also helped Intel in winning the Apple PC business contract, many more such business partnerships and strategic acquisitions helping the company to expand it's presence in security, software and mobile communications.

In the later years after his retirement in 2013, he dedicated all his time in mentoring younger business leaders and other charitable works for the welfare of general humanity.
